Common Questions
-
We started offering Field Days in 2017 for teams over at Nordstrom Product Group (NPG) to help them go deeper into the principles. We were blown away that spending a full day studying the principles with us could have such a great impact on all involved.
-
We want to help you answer the question, "How far am I willing to go to work differently?" While each Field Day agenda is custom, we typically include conversations with a variety of Kaas team members, in-depth training on the 7 wastes, and an intro to the improvement tools we use. You will experience our huddles, culture training, team train, team clean, visual management tools, Kaizen problem-solving, Q & R with Kaas leadership and hands-on simulations.
The goal is to focus on the thinking behind the tool, not just the tool itself.
-
Guests are usually inspired to learn more about Kaizen so they can apply it in their own lives. Frequently they are surprised to learn how much waste is in their world. Many seem willing to explore removing some as they return to work. Our hope is that our guests leave convicted that the principles are true (and always true), and they will not stop until flow is the norm.
-
A typical progression is to send a scout group on a Waste Tour to get to know us and see if we can help.
Groups that get the most out of a Field Day come prepared with direction on what to look for, what to focus on, and prework, such as the free content that we have published in the public domain in the learning tab.
